Al-Ghad has just received the latest Draft of the Oil Law. It is dated 3 July, as it was adopted by the Iraq Council of Ministers (or, at least, those that cared to attend) on that date. It is this Draft which was referred to Parliament to discuss and vote on. The new Draft was stripped of the four annexes.

There is even no mention of those annexes of the Oil Law, which were of crucial importance. This powers mentioned in the annexes are to be delegated to the Oil Council, making strategic decision out of the hands of Parliament.

There is a rapidly growing resentment against Maliki and his docile Government among wide spectrum of political and other affiliations.
